As Abhinaya-Indischer Tanz embarks on its 12th year in Munich, we invite you to commemorate this milestone with us by celebrating the beauty, joy, and knowledge of Indian classical dance.

Nritya: A theatrical dance performance
Parva: A chapter
(Certainly, a new chapter for us at Abhinaya following the pandemic)

“Nritya Parva,” performed by the dancers and students of Abhinaya Indischer Tanz, is a celebration of Indian Classical Dance and beyond.

The production presents styles of Bharatanatyam and Bharatanrityam, Kathak using aspects of the texts Natya Shastra (the amalgamation of theatre, dance and music) and Sangeetha Ratnakara (musical texts) showcasing the elements of Karanas (aesthetic management of static and dynamic movements of sculptures)

Sneha Bhardwaj, the company’s artistic director and founder, will give the audience a sneak peek of both “Fire of Hope,” a brand-new choreography from her company “Abhinaya Tanz Kampani,” and her most recent Bharatanatyam solo composition.

In addition to Bharatanatyam choreographies, Abhinaya will introduce the audience to choreographies that showcase a contemporary appreciation for semi-classical dance, pan Asian folk art, and the “Sammilana” project, which honours the amalgamation of Ballet and Bharatanatyam.

We also take great pleasure in introducing our audience to a unique kind of sport from India, which is woven into traditional strings that date long back in history. A historical sport that has now acquired the status of an art form in the country. Torch bearers of this art form from Munich are collaborating with us to take everyone into a completely new era

We strive to bring a fresh flavour to our stories encompassing soulful music and movements, expression, and aesthetics, which will be reflected in our blissful, creative style of presentation.

Experience Kala (ART) on May 20, 2023, and relish in a delight that goes far beyond the senses!
